This is the Jewel worn by any 'Sir Knight' of a Knight Mason Council.
This is a modern Jewel made from base metal to which 'gilt' has been applied. 


Extract from the Laws and Constitutions of the Grand Council of Knight Masons.
Jewel of a Knight Mason.
"Circular green field 19mm (3/4 in) diameter on gold star 35mm (1 3/8 ins) diameter; three equilateral triangles inset into green field on which are superimposed two Crossed Swords. Suspended from a green ribbon 25mm (1 in) wide."

This is a miniature version of the above Jewel.

This Jewel probably dates from the early part of the 2oth century and would have been worn at a formal function when ever the Dress was either black tie or white tie.
