Obverse of Jewel

Another very nice example of a fret cut Past Master's Jewel from McCammon Lodge.
The Jewel is suspended from two 9ct gold bars and a sky blue ribbon.

Picture
A Coat of Arms is centred on the ribbon, which consists of a Lion Rampant on a shield with another Lion Rampant on top thereof. Below the shield is the Motto "Re e Merito" ("This throught merit").

The top bar has the inscription "M’Cammon Masonic Lodge No. 221" ,

and the bottom, "Bro. J. Thompson W.M. 1950"

The difference between this Jewel and the 1938 Jewel is that
the top and bottom bar have shamrocks on either end.

Picture

The Jewel itself is made of a silver Compass, Square and letter "G" mounted on a 9ct gold disc, the circumference of which bears the legend "M’Cammon Masonic Lodge 221"

The reverse of the Jewel bears the inscription :
"Presented to
W.Bro. John Thompson
1950"
