V.W.Bro. H. J. Hill 18°, P.P J.G.W., Antrim, P.M. Lodge 111, P.P.G Director of Ceremonies, P.M.W.S., P.G. Rose Croix. Chapter 12, Chairman House Committee, 1912-1913. V.W. Bro. Henry J. Hill, 18°, spent a long life in the service of the Order. His name appears as Secretary of the House Committee in 1869, and his interest was retained to the end. For many years he officiated as Prov. Grand Director of Ceremonies, and his familiar figure was never absent from the annual meetings and concerts of the Local Masonic Charities in the Ulster Hall, the Costume Procession being his special care. As a Masonic lecturer he was very accurate and dignified. He lived to the ripe old age of 84, and almost to the last was to be seen taking his daily walk through the city, happy in the enjoyment of good health. He was a pillar of Lodge 111 for many years. |
